Xylaria nigripes is a rare medicinal mushroom in the Xylariaceae family, which has long been used in traditional medicine to aid in treating conditions such as insomnia, neurasthenia, and inflammation. This fungus usually grows in an environment characterized by termite nests. Recent studies have shown that X. nigripes contains many valuable biological compounds such as polysaccharides, nucleosides, and sterols, which provide important biological effects, such as antioxidants, liver protection, immune system regulation, and diabetes treatment. In addition to pharmacological potential, many research works have focused on developing X. nigripes biomass kernel techniques under artificial culture conditions, in order to optimize growth and accumulation of active ingredients. These results not only contribute to clarifying the application potential of this mushroom in the pharmaceutical field but also create a scientific foundation for the sustainable exploitation of this rare medicinal resource.
AI is transforming English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education by facilitating personalized learning and intelligent tutoring globally. This study examines the readiness and intentions of educators in Thu Dau Mot City, Vietnam, to adopt AI in their EFL classrooms. Through surveys and interviews with 102 teachers and lecturers, results show a high perceived usefulness and intention to integrate AI (M = 4.10). However, challenges remain with moderate ease of use (M = 3.92), low confidence in AI tools (M = 3.68), and limited institutional support (M = 3.45). Qualitative insights indicate a need for systematic training and collaborative environments. The findings emphasize that successful AI adoption relies on institutional investment in training and infrastructure. Without this support, the gap between enthusiasm and actual implementation may hinder AI's transformative potential. Policymakers and educational leaders need to create structured frameworks for effective AI integration in EFL classrooms.
Effective English communication remains a significant challenge for non-English major students at many Vietnamese universities, often hindering their academic and professional development. This study explores the key difficulties faced by non-English majors at Thu Dau Mot University in English communication and their engagement in classroom speaking activities. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study collected data from 100 students through questionnaires and interviews.
The findings reveal four primary challenges: limited vocabulary, pronunciation difficulties, overreliance on the native language, and lack of confidence. These issues not only affect students’ ability to express themselves in English but also reduce their participation in classroom activities.
Despite these obstacles, the study found that active engagement in speaking activities positively impacts students’ learning outcomes, highlighting the importance of supportive and interactive teaching methods. Engagement varied, with students demonstrating greater participation in structured activities than in spontaneous speaking tasks.
Based on the findings, the study provides recommendations for fostering a more engaging and effective learning environment.
In this study, the Wave Optics chapter, which is part of the General Physics A2 course for first-year Electrical Engineering students at Thu Dau Mot university, will be taught using the KWL (Know-Want to know-Learned) strategy. Creating a three-step KWL instructional process for four major Wave Optics chapter topics, creating learning scenarios that use the KWL strategy, and evaluating the technique's effects on students' critical thinking, active learning, and knowledge retention are all parts of the research objectives. Both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques are used in this study. Two classes were chosen at random: the experimental group (49 students) was taught using the KWL strategy, while the control group (49 students) followed a traditional instructional method. Data were collected through test scores, post-lesson surveys, and classroom observations. The findings show that the experimental group achieved an average score of 7.31, higher than the control group’s 6.13. Post-lesson surveys indicated that all 15 evaluation criteria reached a "Good" level, with mean scores ranging from 4.24 to 4.54. Students responded positively, expressing enjoyment in being able to ask questions, synthesize information, and engage more deeply in learning. The study confirms that the KWL technique is an effective teaching method that enhances instructional quality and promotes students’ active learning skills. This strategy holds potential for broader application across other STEM subjects to maximize learner-centered knowledge acquisition.
This paper is devoted to guiding parents in organizing classrooms and bedrooms for their children, ensuring that they have the most reasonable position to rest and study. That is how to design, arrange, and select items in a room to serve two children of the same sex, aged from 6 to 18. Arrange the bed to suit the cramped housing situation. Install study tables and chairs so that children can sit and study comfortably. Choose to buy a bookshelf and hang it on the wall so that it is steady and within reach of your children's operation and use. Essential daily items are arranged neatly so that children can conveniently take them out, use them, and store them in the right place. Thanks to having an ideal room to rest, study, and conveniently use equipment, children will develop well in literature, physical skills, and aesthetics and will always love their family. Later, when the children grow up, no matter where they go, the image of the beautiful little room of their childhood will always be kept in their memories. The interior design of the classroom and bedroom for two small children in a family is fully and clearly shown in 3D images by us. We have presented how to arrange and install items in the room so that everyone can apply this design to their family situation.
Athletes often need to have good English skills to communicate with foreigners for different purposes. As known, many athletes are not able to speak English fluently. To enhance the national athletes’ English proficiency, the governmental institutions arrange various English courses for them. This study reflects the long-term (over seven years) teaching process of English to the athletes in terms of the English course content, namely General English and Sports English, topics, local teacher vs foreign teacher, teaching methods, evaluation criteria, implementation of visual means and AI. The study results are based on the teachers’ observational method and students’ feedback.
Most students liked the English course because they could speak English through discussions and conversations and learn new vocabulary, including General English and Sports English (ESP). The students liked the lessons’ topics (e.g. hotel/restaurant reservation, shopping, ordering food, and sports injuries) which were usually taught using PPTs, handouts, Youtube, and Kahoot. AI as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grammarly, Alexa, etc. was recently implemented in the teaching of athletes as well, facilitating the teaching and learning process and making it more effective and fun. Most athlete students were satisfied to have both a local and foreign teacher for the former could provide explanations in Chinese and the latter could help them to overcome the language barrier and gain confidence in speaking English. Most of the athlete students were motivated to improve their English to communicate internationally.
Tan An was a former province in the Mekong Delta, now part of Long An Province, Vietnam. During the Vietnamese resistance against French colonialism (1945-1954), in addition to military, political, and economic activities, Tan An province vigorously organized and developed general education, becoming a highlight of the educational movement during the war in southern Vietnam. Using the methods of writing educational history and oral history, this article outlines the process of organizing and conducting general education in Tan An and its impact on the local resistance efforts. The results show that despite continuous warfare, general education activities in Tan An persisted, achieving significant accomplishments in eradicating illiteracy, raising public awareness, developing teaching staff, and constructing schools and classrooms suitable for wartime conditions. The educational development process in Tan An provides valuable lessons for building and developing general education during wartime, including experiences in leveraging the tradition of self-reliance to advance education and mobilizing community contributions when the state focused all resources on the war effort.
English language proficiency is crucial for academic and professional success, with effective communication skills playing a pivotal role. Collaborative teaching methods, particularly group work, can significantly enhance students' creativity, evaluation, synthesis, analysis, and comparison, as well as problem-solving, essential for developing collaborative abilities. Furthermore, non-English major students often struggle to develop their speaking skills due to limited practice opportunities. This study addresses this challenge by implementing group-work activities in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. A mixed-methods approach was used to gather data including quantitative data collected through a questionnaire administered to 71 non-major students at Dong Nai Technology University and qualitative data came from semi-structured interviews. The results showed that group work significantly improved students' fluency, coherence, and confidence. Students reported increased motivation and engagement in speaking activities. These findings suggest that group-work activities effectively enhance speaking skills for non-English major students.
This research examines the scholarly literature on technology-based language learning published in the Computer Assisted Language Learning journal-one of the key journals in the field from 1990 to 2019. The researcher randomly selected 30 articles from 257 articles found in this journal during a thirty-year period (one article each year) to analyze the research method trends and the learner types focused in those studies. Results showed that mixed-method research has been more popular in recent years, and this may help academics better understand the connections between classroom environments and technology-enhanced language acquisition. For quantitative analysis, tests and Liker-scale questionnaires are the most used instruments, whereas interviews are the most common approach for qualitative analysis in mixed-method publications. Additionally, when it came to learning levels, researchers focused their attention on college and university students, but they paid no attention to pre-schoolers.
Abstract: Urban agriculture is a highly concerned issue during the period of rapid urbanization in Vietnam. Research aims to propose a cultivation process for cultivating oyster mushrooms, utilizing coffee grounds from coffee businesses as a resource. This approach promotes circular economy principles, generating economic benefits for households while protecting the environment and being suitable for urban areas. The study conducted experiments on grey oyster mushrooms using different mixtures of coffee grounds and rubber wood sawdust at the following ratios: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% coffee grounds/rubber wood sawdust, filled into bags with a weight of 1.2kg. The research results showed that disease infection rates were mild in the 0% and 25% mixture ratios, while the remaining ratios exhibited moderate to severe infection levels. The highest mushroom yield was observed in the mixture ratio of 25% coffee grounds, with an average number of mushroom ears per bag reaching 29.7grams/bag, the dry weight is 63.8 grams/bag, with an average size ranging from 3 to 14 cm and a moisture content of 79.5%. The fastest colonization speed on the substrate is achieved by 25%, 50% coffee grounds blend, which fully colonizes the bag in a period of 25 to 35 days, the shortest time compared to the 75% and 100% coffee grounds blends, which take 40 to 45 days. The experimental results show that the 25% coffee grounds: 75% rubber sawdust blend is suitable for urban mushroom cultivation models and can be expanded on a large-scale farm, contributing to minimizing environmental pollution, utilizing limited urban land area, and providing high economic efficiency.

This study assesses the progress of completion, the inadequacies after applying the drawing management process in iso room age Vietnam and the management storage regulations of the enterprise, thereby making flawed comments and propose solutions in the management process after being put into practice at the company. Use interdisciplinary research methods of archiving, drawing records, survey results and speaks to the importance of managing and storing drawings in the mechanical engineering industry.showing the level of completion and outstanding shortcomings of the process. The survey results provide the basis for the shortcomings, which need to be improved in the process and thorough remedies to improve the quality of technical drawing management process
The aim of this study was to explore the impact of using games in teaching vocabulary from the viewpoints of learners who already participated in language games. Through questionnaire, data for analysis were collected from 100 learners at a foreign language center in Binh Duong province. The results show that most of the participants are motivated to learn when they are in games. Moreover, they can acquire vocabulary more quickly and easily if the games are based on some factors such as learners’ gender, age and education status. The study suggests that in spite of the effectiveness of using games in vocabulary teaching, games should not be used too much or too less in the classrooms.
To explain transnational marriage between Vietnamese brides and Taiwanese, Korean grooms. The author will figure out and discuss some issues related to this type of marriage such as divorce and one of concerning issues that Vietnamese-Taiwanese and Korean-Vietnamese children have been existing in Vietnam as ‘being abandoned’ phenomenon of transitional migration in the context of globalization. This research aims to gain an insight into accessibility to education services amongst Taiwanese-Vietnamese and Korean-Vietnamese children living with their mother and maternal family/relatives in Hau Giang by applying sociological approaches, thus to explain a modern social phenomenon emerging in the process of development and integration of Vietnam. Research subject: Accessibility to s amongst Vietnamese-Taiwanese and Vietnamese-Korean children in Hau Giang. Research objects: Mixed race children nursed/ care taken by their mother or maternal parents/relatives.
An effective teacher plays a crucial role in the process of learning English as a foreign language (EFL) when students’ opportunities to English exposure outside the classroom are limited. The aim of this study was to examine professional characteristics that an effective EFL teacher should have as perceived by Taiwanese university students. A four-section questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, and the study sample included responses from 68 senior students majoring in EFL. The results show that the three most significant characteristics of an effective teacher of English in the eyes of Taiwanese university students are not related specifically to the teacher’s knowledge of the subject or English proficiency level. Those characteristics can be attributed to any teacher, and they include providing clear grading guidelines, giving clear explanations, and preparing each lesson well. The findings may contribute valid information on college students’ expectations of EFL teachers in the Asian educational context and help make the language learning process more effective.
Men's grooming products are very diverse and plentiful in the world today. In recent years, Vietnamese men have approached beauty trend, the old conception of beauty is also gradually changing. The demand for male beauty in Vietnam in recent years indicates that men's awareness of beauty products. The potential for grooming products for men in Vietnam is huge, but in-depth studies on this topic are limited. It is important to have specific studies analyzing the consumption of grooming products for men in Vietnam, contributing to promoting the potential of these products for business benefits. The study collected data from 458 respondents are male, analyzed the factors affecting consumer attitudes, thereby opening a specific view on men's grooming consumption in Vietnam.
This study investigated grammatical difficulties encountered by students of the People’s Police University while learning grammar in ESP courses. The design included questionnaires to teachers and students, and classroom participant observations. The findings indicated that the student respondents only perceived four target features to be difficult to learn. The results also showed that the students’ perceptions of grammatical difficulty were influenced by several factors including the inherent complexity of rules, L1 transfer, students’ differences in language aptitude, students’ infrequency of practice, and teaching methodology. The findings will hopefully be useful for teachers and researchers with an interest in this line of research.
